Cindy

Streltzov

An intrepid traveler, Cindy has lived and worked in Ethiopia, Namibia, Zambia, and Turkey.  A singer and conductor, she loved singing in Oshindonga with a choir in Oniipa, Namibia while serving in the Peace Corps.

On May 3, 2019, five months after returning from Africa, she was diagnosed with generalized myasthenia gravis. She has a different life now. Now she understands what it’s like living with a debilitating chronic condition and that real data scientific research can be the answer.

Cindy believes that it matters what you eat, that the glass is always half full, and that you never, ever give up. She calls the San Francisco Bay Area home, is a MGFA Support Group Leader, a clinical trial supporter, and a friend, daughter, mother and grandmother.

She plans to bring her unique message of hope, perseverance and change to those whose lives have been touched by myasthenia and other chronic health conditions.
