FAQs

How secure are my data?

We take data security and patient privacy seriously. Your information is encrypted and we follow strict protocols to protect your privacy. Only you—and those you choose to share with—can access your records. We’ll never sell your information.

Can I use HSA, FSA or insurance to pay for any of this?

Yes, you can use your HSA/FSA to pay for PicnicHealth membership as well as for any patient responsibility associated with virtual care services. For connected care visits, you also have the option to bill your insurance for the cost of the visit.

Can I sign up my family member(s)?

Yes, you can create an account on someone’s behalf if you’re legally authorized to do so i.e. you’re their parent/guardian or have power of attorney. Just let us know who you’re caring for when you sign up and we'll guide you through the process. You can create accounts for multiple people (including yourself) but we don’t currently offer a group family plan.

Where can I access connected care? Do you have physical locations?

Connected care is entirely virtual, so you can access it from anywhere in the U.S. that we’re currently licensed. No waiting rooms or travel required—just care that comes to you.

How does research participation work?

When you join a research study, you get PicnicHealth membership for free for the duration of the study. When the study ends, you can keep any records that have already been collected. You may also continue your PicnicHealth membership at a reduced rate

What information do you need from me when signing up?

To get started, we’ll ask for basic information like your name, date of birth and contact information. Then we’ll ask you to sign an authorization form for collecting your records, and to tell us about where you’ve received care.

What if I change my mind? How can I cancel my account?

You can cancel your account at any time by reaching out to our support team. We’ll stop collecting new records, but you can keep anything we’ve already collected.
